CROSSROADS I (text)

America is at a crossroads. Our political climate is fractured. Trust in our institutions is fading. And too often, anger replaces reason.

Many blame the Trump administration and call it unprecedented, but history shows presidents, all in their own ways, tested the boundaries of presidential authority.

The father of the Constitution, James Madison, warned us: “Enlightened statesmen will not always be at the helm.” So our Founders crafted the Constitution with checks and balances. Congress, the courts, the states, and the people's vote were designed to keep any president in check.

But today, too many elected Republican lawmakers have been gripped by what we call Lakaspinatisis: a paralysis of principle in the face of power.

So you ask, what is the solution? The remedy is as old as our Republic and as immediate as the next election: the vote. The 2026 midterm elections are crucial — they determine the makeup of Congress, the very body that can check or enable executive power. Change in Congress can lead to restoring balance, holding leaders accountable, and protecting the Constitution.

History will remember not just what leaders did, but also whether we, the people, stood up or stayed silent.

Fight Lakaspinatosis, and vote for change in the 2026 mid-terms!
